ABOUT
FESTIVAL – (January 18 to January 21, 2007)
SPORT MOVIES & TV - INDIA FICTS FESTIVAL is the most active and fastest growing festival movement in India. Set in the heart of India's Film world Mumbai and " BOLLYWOOD ", where close to 1000 films are made every year, TEN FILMS and F.I.C.T.S. have joined hands to organize SPORT MOVIES & TV INDIA FICTS FESTIVAL.
SPORT MOVIES & TV INDIA FICTS FESTIVAL is looking for entries in TWO CATEGORIES namely SPORTS BASED CATEGORY and NON SPORTS BASED CATEGORY . The details of both the categories are given below:
A) SPORTS BASED
CATEGORY
· Feature Films (over 85 Minutes)
. Short Films (5 to 45 Minutes)
. Super Shorts (2 Minutes & less)
· Documentaries (Any duration upto 120 Minutes)
All the entries in the above categories must have a strong connectivity with sports -- in the theme or in the story or maybe in its visual execution (it can be on a sportsman or on a sporting event or a tournament or simply a documentary on a sport or sportsman). Therefore, a connectivity with any sports in the film, documentary or TV show is the basic requirement for any filmmaker or TV producer / director to participate in.
The patrticipants from this category gets a chance to compete for the prestigious
Golden TEN Awards and Guirlande d' Honneur.
B) NON - SPORTS BASED CATEGORY
· Feature Films (over 85 Minutes)
. Short Films (5 to 45 Minutes)
. Super Shorts (2 Minutes & less)
· Documentaries (Any duration upto 120 Minutes)
These films and documentaries could be of any genre, any duration. IT NEED NOT HAVE ANY CONNECTIVITY WITH SPORTS. This section is for all the Filmmakers and documentary makers whose films and documentaries are well made and will compete for the top most award - Golden TEN Awards.
BACKGROUND OF THE FESTIVAL
SPORT MOVIES & TV is the most important Worldwide Festival was started in the year 1982. It's a hugely popular Festival having the patronage of the IOC (International Olympic Committee) .
The Festival provides ample opportunity for filmmakers to interact with the enormous, emerging film industry in India and to network with film financiers , producers , directors , and film stars alike.
Awards include the prestigious Golden TEN Awards and Silver TEN Awards for each category and some of the most exciting events are the RED CARPET PREMIERES , OPENING CEREMONY , ALL THE EVENING PARTIES and the PRESTIGIOUS AWARDS AND CLOSING CEREMONY.

To make filmmakers' film / documentary screening truly exciting and memorable, SPORT MOVIES & TV INDIA FICTS FESTIVAL offers the opportunity of an exclusive RED CARPET PREMIERE (evening prime time) to filmmakers' where the best of the audiences are present and the filmmaker and his film is showcased to the mainstream media (OVER 15 TV Channels covering the event plus huge presence of Print Media providing extraordinary BUZZ and EXPOSURE to the film and its cast and crew). ALL COLOUR BROCHURE
Filmmakers also have the opportunity of promoting their film to the right set of people by taking out FULL PAGE Advertisement in the ALL COLOUR BROCHURE that is sent out to who's who of the entertainment world. This Advertisement would be in addition to what the brochure will have about each film / documentary. A beautiful or a striking picture of your film / documentary with contact details of yours would be the best way to take advantage of this opportunity. The Film Festival is hoping to provide partial support or atleast share information of the best and the cheapest Air Tickets which the filmmakers can access and avail so as they can be present at the time of their films' screening and thereby promote their films' better to the strong gathering of audiences comprising Actors, Producers, Distributors, and film buffs.
The 2007 edition of SPORT MOVIES & TV INDIA FICTS FESTIVAL is truly going to be action packed for all those filmmakers whose films' and documentaries would be screened.
